Netherland based Musett Design is specialized in the manufacture of exclusive hand-made, woven and hand-coiled rugs made from Abaca, a tree related to the banana, found in the Philippines. Abaca, also known as Manila hemp, is very soft yet extremely robust. It’s golden brown and white hemp-like fibers are nature’s strongest fibers, and used for making paper, bags, ropes and floor coverings. Musett Design seeks to break with the take-make-waste and exploit attitude and rather contributes to a Good, Clean & Fair world in which sustainability and social responsibility are pivotal values.
