The story of microfibers” is presented by “The Story of Stuff Project”, a nonprofit dedicated to changing the way that we make, use, and throw away Stuff so that it is more sustainable, healthy, and fair.

The video puts a light on microfibers that are released when synthetic fabrics, from which 60% of all clothing on earth is made, are washed and then flow down our drains, through water treatment plants, and out into our rivers, lakes and oceans by the billions.

The video is part of a series of animated shorts and documentaries that chart a path to a more just and sustainable future. The Story of Stuff Project encourages you to be part of their movement. Check out what kind of changemaker you are and take the Quiz.
