True Gum is the brainchild of four friends from Copenhagen who had a belief that chewing gum could be better. Regular gum is made with plastic, they explain on their website and that’s what they set to change. Instead of plastic, True Gum uses a tree sap from the Central American sapodilla tree. The eco-friendly chewing gum is plastic-free, sugar-free, vegan and biodegradable. What began as a startup in 2017, turned now into the world’s smallest gum factory.
