Tel Aviv-based product designer Naama Nicotra created NakedPak, a series of zero waste food packaging concepts based on a research of edible materials possibly functioning as a packaging material at the same time. Eating a content together with its packaging however automatically raises concerns about hygiene. Inspired by “packaging concepts” made by nature, such as skins or shells, her products too can be rinsed with water before consumption - just like an apple. In her project Naama Nicotra presents five packs of iconic dishes, each containing its ingredients, spices and flavors all together in a single “naked” pack that can be rinsed, cooked and served.
