Berlin-based ROOM IN A BOX designs and manufactures sustainable furniture made entirely from durable and long-lasting cardboard. Their corrugated cardboard consists of at least 70% certified recycled material and 30% certified virgin fibres in combination with starch glue made from potato, maize or wheat starch. Each design consists of as few components as possible. A smart arrangement of the boards on the cutting dies reduces production waste right from beginning. Also, did you know that corrugated cardboard has a regulating effect on the humidity of the room climate? Moreover it positively influences your room’s acoustics too due to its sound-absorbing properties.
