Shahar Asor, a recent graduate of the bachelor's degree program in Industrial Design at Bezalel academy of arts and design in Jerusalem came up with the idea to apply some kind of an expiration date to selected fashion articles. “Best Before” is a material research project that offers to reconcile the contradiction between long shelf life of a garment and the unquestionable need to change our wardrobe, by applying an expiration date concept to the fashion industry.
Her knit based composite material could be programmed to dissolve in water after a certain amount of time, leaving nothing behind but a memory.
