Aireal is a material library launched by Amsterdam-based designer Teresa van Dongen. Aireal puts a spotlight on new and innovative materials that capture CO2 in their production process. According to aireal-materials.com “all materials were developed in the spirit of the circular economy, where waste does not exist and CO2 is seen as a resource for the creation of the products that we will use tomorrow.” The materials range from building materials to nutrient-rich proteins and bioplastics and they show new ways to transform waste into sources.
