Aireal is a material library launched by Amsterdam-based designer Teresa van Dongen. Aireal puts a spotlight on new and innovative materials that capture CO2 in their production process. According to “all materials were developed in the spirit of the circular economy, where waste does not exist and CO2 is seen as a resource for the creation of the products that we will use tomorrow.” The materials range from building materials to nutrient-rich proteins and bioplastics and they show new ways to transform waste into sources.
