Hamburg-based CleanTech company Bio-Lultions invented a patented method to mechanically convert agricultural residues into unique, self-binding, durable natural fibres, called "fibcro", without the need for binding agents or chemical cellulose extraction. To meet their sustainable goals, Bio-Lutions produce their biodegradable single-use disposables and packaging in close cooperation with local suppliers, farmers and growers. Their first collection of products focuses on single-use items such as disposable tableware and packaging materials. All of them are biodegradable, compostable, food-safe, durable and odour neutral. Bio-Litions works closely together with experts from universities and at their in-house research centre in Schwedt, Germany, they continue to explore material capabilities, improve material performance and thoroughly test new product applications in packaging and beyond.
