Four students of the engineering department at the Johns Hopkins University developed an edible adhesive that's made of food-grade fibrous scaffold and an organic adhesive. "The tape makes sure the ingredients inside one's favorite wrap stay tucked tightly inside during cooking and when you eat it." Tastee Tape is said to have the strength to hold a fat burrito together and is of transparent color. “The product is delivered as pre-cut two-inch strips attached to sheets of wax paper, and using a piece simply requires water to be applied to fully activate its adhesive properties.”
