Peelsphere is a Berlin based material innovation company founded by a team of talented designers, engineers, and entrepreneurs aiming to solve the material waste problem by engineering the future generation of biomaterials with cutting-edge material technology. At the intersectionality of design, material science and sustainability, Peelsphere developed a truly circular bio material made from fruit waste and algae. The colorful and translucent material offers a durable and versatile substitute to leather or synthetic sheet material that comes in various colors and patterns. “We only use natural or Oeko-Tex certified dyes. Laser-cut and printing make Peelsphere unique and beautiful. Peelsphere can also be embroidered, woven, and sewn into end products that are biodegradable and timeless.” they state on their website. The material can be recycled and is of course fully biodegradable.
