A typical tube contains 11 layers of plastics, polymers and resins, which makes them difficult to recycle, according to an article on Designboom.com. To overcome this, Vince and Medicoff have come up with a tablet design that users chew before brushing as normal. The plastic-free toothpaste contains mostly natural ingredients as well as some of the familiar elements found in traditional toothpaste like dicalcium phosphate and xylitol.
