FOOD PACKAGING: Noodle pack dissolves into ramen soup.

The Instant noodle soup industry is linked to a lot of single use plastics. Ravensbourne University London graduate product design student Holly Grounds has developed a packaging which dissolves into a ramen soup when you pour hot water over it. The heat-sealed suchet is made of an edible starch-based biofilm with incorporated spices and flavorings and preserves the noodles at the same time. The suchet dissolves in less than a minute and doesn’t affect the meal in terms of taste or texture.
