Mapuguaquén (Mapudungun for "the sound of the earth") are a series of hand manufactured speakers, made from clay on a traditional potter's wheel. They combine ancestral pottery tradition with modern wireless audio technology. Mapuguaquén envisions what they call a “Craft's Re-evolution”. The concept aims to give ancient craftsmanship a new face, safeguarding the manufacturing tradition and the work with regional resources, while fulfilling contemporary needs. Mapuguaquén uses only natural materials, such as clay, wood and wool which are sourced regionally and 100% biodegradable.
