India-based designer Amogh Jadhav developed “Cassava Clasp”, a bio-based and biodegradable on-the-go food packaging made from cassava sheets, which have been synthesized as part of his design project.
“The sheets can be made with simple home utensils, a stove and some cassava beads” Amogh Jadhav explains in an article on Designboom.com. The clasp can be molded into any shape which is retained after force is removed. The project is essentially an attempt to explore new biodegradable alternatives in our current consumer culture, all while using less resources.
