According to the company, based in the Allgäu region in the South of Germany, this is the first certified sustainable self-adhesive tape produced in Germany, says Libby Munford in her article on Packagingeurope.com. monta biopack® is made from roughly ninety percent renewable resources: The film is biobased, and the natural rubber adhesive consists of predominantly renewable raw materials. Under industrial composting conditions, this adhesive tape with a sustainable outlook biodegrades within a few months, closing the natural recycling loop.
