Deutsche Umwelthilfe: German artists help to raise awareness about global waste crisis.

24. August 2018 | Waste | via Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V.

Environmental Action Germany (DUH) has been campaigning to preserve the natural foundations of life for more than 40 years. In doing so, it brings together protecting the environment with consumer protection like no other organisation in Germany. With their new campaign “Plan A” they want to call on Germany’s federal chancellor Angela Merkel to take action against the global plastic waste crisis. In a 7-episode series, supported by singer and entertainer Friedrich Liechtenstein, they address - what they call - “the biggest environmental problem of our time: No place on earth is trashed as much as our oceans.” If we don’t take action immediately, there might be more plastic than fish in our oceans by 2050. You can also support the petition on their website.
